"Led by the Montenegrin cultural development strategy in pursuit of the expansion of the RVP's activities during the festival, the most significant poets from the region, Europe and the world will be presented. The main programs of the event will be, besides the Risto Ratković award, the presentation of the book by Don Paterson, "Easy Grounds", which was printed recently in the issue of Ratković's Evenings of Poetry," Kemal Music said, adding that the documentary about Risto Ratković was also being prepared, which will be presented at the event held for the 48th time.
He emphasizes that among the most important programs is the presentation of the book by Bozo Koprivica "Street Dream", as well as last year's winners of the "Risto Ratković" award, Tanja Kragujević and Balša Brković.
"In addition to the Scotsman Don Paterson, this year's Ratković's poetry will be marked by the English-American poet Joan Argento, but the audience will also be presented Russian Tatjana Danilijac, Dutchman Erik Lindner, American Jenifer Williams, and part of the festival will be devoted to writers from the former Yugoslavia. We also prepared the almanac of the 48th Ratković's poetry evenings, which will include poems in the mother tongue, English, and Montenegrin language for the participants. This will be an overview of the trends of the contemporary poetry in the world," Kemal Musić said.
He points out that the RVP has a good foundation, which is why they have lasted for almost half a century. "That is why they are of particular national significance. However, it is necessary to continually improve the cultural offer and content that will interest an increasingly demanding literary audience. The diversity and quality of the content are the basis of the public institution of Ratković's poetry evenings, as well as the openness to good literature," he said. The prize "Risto Ratković" is awarded for the best book in Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
