June 8, 2018 - "As it often happens along our coast, this would not be strange if it was not a protected area declared by the state of Montenegro. This protected part, known as Ribarska posta, is part of the coast and sea provided for the traditional fishing of tiny blue fish by "bogs", which are manually drawn, along with the participation of more fishermen, on the shore," said the organization.
In the middle of Ribarska posta is a centuries-old “tiradura” (sea shore), where the net is pulled out with the catch, and right in the middle of the coastal section of “tiradura”, just two meters from the water, a wall is under construction.
"The protected area, Ribarska posta, is marked with a metal table containing information, the Coat of Arms of Montenegro and the length of the coast, even with the image of the bay. All this was not enough to prevent this devastation," added the organization.

They pointed out that usually "the state is to blame", but this time, it seems it is the fault of the people who issued the urban technical conditions for this construction.
"Luckily, there are a lot of conscientious clerks in the state administration so that the fishery inspectorate in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development stopped the work and ordered it to be returned to the original condition, and thus, on behalf of the state, let everyone know that they will not close an eye and turn their heads to the other side with this situation," they emphasized.
They hope the state will remain consistent until the end, and that "Ribarska Posta" in the bay of Male Rose will be left to the fishermen, Montenegrin citizens and the state itself.
"The current state requires that all of us together have to fight like lions and protect these gems of nature on the shore and underwater, which is also being fiercely attacked," concluded the organization.
