May 18, 2018 - The invaders of the public in the cities across Montenegro, the young band "Milf Hunters" from Ulcinj, revisits Tivat tonight. Taking into account the reactions of the audience who were singing and dancing after and during their performance, we decided to present the four musicians to the visitors of our portal.
This band consists of Nazmi Hadžibrahimi (electric guitar), Luka Đakonović (vocals), Adriatik Tiki Lazorija (bass guitar and vocal), and Dragoljub Purlija (drums).
Frontman of the band, Luka Đakonović, said the group was founded in 2013, and it was entirely spontaneous:
"We've been playing in this set for a couple of years, while the original set-up was in February 2013. Due to our obligations, the first drummer left us, and after that we found Gaga. We did not even hope for anything, and we did not expect it, and everything quickly fit."
Asked whether the audience in other cities is content with their performances as they are in Tivat, Luka said that it’s a matter of taste:
"What I can say with certainty is that cafe bar 'Regata' in Tivat and 'Montenegro Pub' in Podgorica have the best atmosphere because people know the repertoire and like to hear things that almost no one plays in Montenegro - and because of that the shows are good. Nikšić is also a great audience, but they are stiff because they will not show you that they enjoyed it."
In your performances we can notice enormous energy which is of the same intensity every time you stand in front of an audience, how do you achieve that?
"It comes spontaneously; we have this energy, and we love doing it. Naturally, the audience has a significant influence, and if we see that they react to our songs, then they start it. Local and foreign rock is where we get best, the repertoire is made together, and we are not limited to genres and have relatively similar tastes. We are a cover band, and we think it takes a while before we start doing our own stuff. No need to rush, we are young, and we have to listen to more music.
Nazmi is the only one in Ulcinj, so it’s difficult to match ambitions with opportunities, and because of that, we can practice only one or two times a month. When we talk about the rock music scene in our country, we would say there is “Autogeni trening”, “Zoonpolitikon” and “Mikrokozma”, and that is all. To the young men who possess talents, we would like to tell them to take matters into their hands. We know many people who take their talents lightly and it annoys us because we know they can become great musicians and singers. Stage fright and fear are the biggest problems, but if you cross this barrier, everything goes smoothly," concluded Đakonović.
"Milf Hunters" is currently the most successful cover band in Montenegro, which is confirmed by their increasing performances throughout Montenegro. During the summer season, this band exclusively performs in Ulcinj, or Ada Bojana, where the most popular soul - funk music festival in Montenegro - "Southern Soul Festival" is held.
