June 7, 2019 - We prepare chicken in a variety of ways - fry it, bake it, and roll it. We add it in salads, hot and cold, and we know an array of ways to use it for the preparation of risotto. So, it is very present in our dining rooms. Here's an idea of how to prepare a delicious meal in half an hour, which you can serve for family lunches, or serve deliciously to your guests on every occasion. My family calls this dish the Chicken Packs.
Ingredients:
800g chicken breasts
500g sliced Hamburg bacon
20 g butter
15 ml of olive oil
500ml cooking cream
Salt
Milled black pepper
Grains of green pepper
A mixture of Mediterranean spices - basil, thyme, dwarf, rosemary
Preparation:
Cut the chicken breasts into smaller pieces and wrap them in slices of Hamburg bacon. Put butter in a wok and add olive oil. Do not allow the fat to overheat - you can put packs into a saucepan immediately after adding olive oil. So bacon does not stick before the chicken is prepared, cook this dish at moderate temperature. When all packs are fried, return to the saucepan. Add cooking cream, salt, black and green pepper, and Mediterranean herbs. If you do not have a mixture of these spices, you can add fresh basil leaves, parsley, oregano or thyme. Chicken packs are done when the boiling cream takes on the color and the scent of the fried bacon, which will take about 10 minutes.
Children prefer eating this dish with mashed potatoes or gnocchi. The lighter and healthier variant of this dish for hot summer days is serving with a baby green salad.
To make the most of this dish, serve the chicken packs with a well-cooled rose wine.
