The Central bank (CBCG) has registered 95 forged banknotes in the first quarter.

“These banknotes are mostly 50 and 20 euro bills," stated CBCG.

From January until the end of March, there were 41 forged banknotes of 50 euro and 26 of 20 euro.

CBCG has processed 528 forged banknotes in the first nine months of last year, in the total value of 41,54 thousand euro. Most of the forged bills were of 20, 50 and 100 euro.

Controlling forged banknotes is possible if the note is checked with a black light.
