According to the data from the Government’s office, 54,7 million euro was paid to the Chinese from the budget based on the construction of the project.
“300,06 million euro was paid from the loan, i.e. 411,62 million dollars”, stated the Ministry.
The construction of the priority section of the Bar-Boljare, Smokovac-Uvac-Matesevo highway was financed from the Exim bank loan of 85 percent, and 15 percent from Montenegro’s budget. The price of the highway, as per the contract signed in February 2014, is 809,6 million euro, which is 19,7 million euro per kilometer.
Until the end of February, there were six tunnels made at Mrke, Klopot, Vilac, Jabucki krs, Mrki krs and Mala trava, which makes 13,4 kilometers of constructed tunnels at the priority section of the road. The last tunnels built were Mrki krs and Mala trava. The construction of Mrki krs lasted ten months, and Mala trava, which is the longest so far, has continued for nearly a year and a half.
Out of the 20 bridges, works have thus far been executed on 15 of them.
37 percent of the total work on the bridges is completed, as well as five pillars at Moracica where the highest will be 180 meters. The present works are being executed in the structural range for this bridge.
“This is a more demanding part than the pillars. Therefore, the daily progress is slower because the works are being carried out at the height of 100 meters”, said the Ministry of Traffic and Maritime Affairs.
2.967 workers are engaged at the highway itself, which is a length of 41 kilometers.
