At the end of December last year, banks approved loans worth €2.7 billion, which is a 0.6% drop on a monthly basis.
According to the data of the Central Bank (CBCG), compared to December 2016, 11.8% more loans were approved.
The ratio between loans and deposits in December was lower compared to the same month of 2016, amounting to 0.83%, the new CBCG Bulletin says.
The total deposits at the end of December were 2.5% higher compared to November and amounted to €3.27bn. They increased by 13.8% annually.
