27 October 2018 - So far, around 750 applications have been submitted to the Fund for quality and talents, and the Ministry of Education expects more than 800 applications by the end of the deadline, which is November 1st.
“So far, 750 applications have been submitted and we expect to receive over 800 by the end of the application deadline. We believe the Fund for quality and talents will become a traditional project and have no doubts that the interest is going to increase each year. We extended the deadline by November 1st in order to get more applications and be able to make the best choice possible. We insist this Fund be an open and fair competition with equal chances,” Milica Lekić, the Ministry of Education spokeswoman, told the weekend edition of Dnevne Novine daily.
She reminded of the fact that the Fund was set up last year within the educational reform and rewards for students and teachers will be 1,000 EUR on average. “The Fund will provide 400 remunerations and a certain number of students who received state and international awards for their knowledge in competitions organized by the Examination Centre of Montenegro, will be awarded by default,” Lekić said.
The final decision on rewards will be made by 30 November and they will vary from EUR 500 to 2,000, depending on the category/sub-category.
