October 24, 2018 - Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) occupy 13.22 percent of the total number of work permits for foreigners, which is why there are many reasons for improving cooperation with the Bosnian Agency for Labor and Employment, according to Director of the Employment Office in Montenegro (ZZZCG) Suljo Mustafić.

"A significant number of BiH citizens are engaged in seasonal jobs during the year in various activities in Montenegro, i.e. 13.22 percent or 2.75 thousand of the total number of permits for foreigners refers to them," Mustafić stated at the press conference on the occasion of visiting the head of the Bosnian Agency for Labor Muamer Bandic.

Mustafić said that this is a fairly large number, mainly for jobs and activities of a seasonal character in tourism or construction."There are many reasons for our cooperation because there is more and more interest of investors coming to Montenegro, so they want to go to the regional market. We need a lot of common work, exchanging information and greater cooperation of our departments and other segments of the Bureau in BiH," Mustafić said.

The Director of the Labor and Employment Agency of BiH, Muamer Bandic, said he wanted to exchange positive experiences and data related to seasonal workers employment between the two institutions.

"We want to exchange other positive experiences that can significantly contribute to reducing the unemployment rate and increase the employment rate in BiH," Bandic said.

As he said, cooperation will be reflected through the possibility of realizing the two states' agreement initiated in the past period, which is now in the negotiation phase. Bandic adds that it is about agreements on seasonal employment of BiH workers in Montenegro and on social security between the two states.
