August 30, 2018 - An agricultural producer from Malesija, Valentin Nicaj, had no problem selling watermelons and potatoes.
"We sold all the quantities of quality goods. The purchase was better organized than the last year, although we sold everything last year as well, we've made it easier now," Nicaj said.
Most of the production, about 80 percent, the Nicaj family sells to the buying center in Voli.
"I'm happy with the cooperation with Voli. Even if we had twice as much production we could sell it," he said, pointing out that they did not have any billing problems because their goods were paid every other day.
This year, Nicaj produced 150 tons of watermelons and 25 tons of potatoes, and his family has invested 25,000 euros in production.
One of the largest domestic producers of vegetables, Veselin Jovovic from the village Jelenak in Bjelopavlici, said that he was satisfied with this year's sales, adding that he increases the production every year for five to ten percent.
"I did not have any problems with placement in the buying center of Voli, and part of the production is being bought by the wholesale shops on the coast. I'm happy with the cooperation with these trade associations and I have no problem with charging," said Jovovic, adding that most other manufacturers did not have a problem with the sale.
