They explained that in the middle of last week at the headquarters of the company, a meeting of the Management Board of ŽPCG with the representatives of EUROFIME was held and that it was then agreed that by means of this organization, about EUR 1 million would be invested in the reconstruction of the trains. It was stated that representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs and the Ministry of Finance were also present at the meeting. EUROFIMA is a specialized European organization for the financing of railway vehicles with extremely favorable credit conditions for financing of investment repair, purchase of trains and spare parts.
"The ZPCG has already had cooperation with this organization in the previous period and in this regard, carries positive experiences, and we expect the same favorable continuation of cooperation," it is said in the statement. It is stated that with the EUROFIME loan, they plan to finance the investment of three electro - locomotives of the 461 series, one 643 diesel-electric locomotives, two 412/416 electric motors, three electric car CAF Civity, 12 passenger wagons, and purchase spare parts for all the vehicles.
Part of the funds, according to the same information, will also be invested into the purchase of 15 passenger cars, new or used.
"The Renewal Plans Project of the ZPCG still needs to be approved by the relevant Ministry of Transport and Government. Expectations are that this will be done by the end of this year, given the very favorable credit conditions."
