According to the director of the local tourist organization, Vanja Krgović, this number refers to those who are registered in tourist capacities, but recalls that in unregistered facilities there are more tourists than it was the case last year. "When we summarize, I can say that Zabljak is completely booked. It is almost impossible to find available accommodation, especially in hotels, which we have expected. I have to look back on the last few months when the start of the season was not really at the expected level. Bad weather conditions resulted in a large number of canceled reservations. But in the second half of July, we have a growing rate and it continues in August," she said, adding that August is the best period for visitors during the summer in Žabljak. Since tourism is booming in Montenegro as of late, different cultural and entertaining events take place, and in August we will have bookings between 90 and 100 percent." Krgović expects that this will improve the results from the past two months.
Krgovic recalls that the summer season in Žabljak is one that attracts more foreign guests, who make between 70 and 80 percent of the total number of tourists.
"Our guests who come to Durmitor for years always find themselves among tourists from Belgium, France, the countries of the region, and from Russia and Israel," said Director TO Zabljak, adding that their offer is being improved and enriched each year.
