Practically, only in the Old town, over ten retail units were leased by Turkish citizens who opened jewelry stores, leather accessories, and souvenir shops. Several apartments and a couple of business premises were purchased in the Old Town, and the millionaire real estate sale and purchase is being "played" at the distance of hundred meters away in the luxurious buildings.
Namely, only in the future multi-apartment commercial complex "Porto Budva" Turkish citizens have bought, as it was confirmed to "Vijesti" by the director of sales in the company "Alart Center" Ana Golubović, ten luxury apartments since the beginning of the year. She confirmed that the interest of Turkish citizens is enormous, and that they have many inquiries on daily basis.
It is well-known that the price of a flat in "Porto Budva" is at least 4,000 euros and up to ten thousand per square meter, as much as it costs for a square meter of a retail unit in the future shopping center.
Turkish citizens have also, in the last six months, registered fifteen apartments in four skyscrapers, built next to the future "Porto Budva", By the insight into Cadastral Records, from February to July there are registration of Turkish citizens on attractive apartments, where the price of the square goes from 2,500 to up to 4,000 euros, depending on the position. The interest of the Turks, which is practically overflowing with Budva, is expresses also for the newly built residential buildings in Gospoštini, and near the Post Office, where they also bought several apartments and commercial units. And from this season Turkish caterers have also leased the famous restaurant on Slovenska beach, former Internacional. There are also leased retail units in the shopping center at Old Bus Station, not far from the Old Town, and the interest of Turkish businessmen is practically for all attractive locations. Not even the municipality is excluded from the business proposals by the tourism businessmen, who expressed interest in the town’s swimming pool, but that offer was rejected.
Real estate market experts believe that the "invasion" of Turkish citizens will continue, and the situation of one decade ago, when Budva was overwhelmed by the Russians, who bought everything they wanted, is repeating.
