"The financial statements for the first six months of 2018 are under development and the expected result is a gain of over 600,000 euros," Franovic said. The Port of Bar also plans to expand its capacity.
"In accordance with the principles of port development, after the optimization of the degree of utilization of the existing capacities, it is necessary to approach their expansion. In this respect, a plan for investment in port infrastructure, superstructure, and the mobile plant have been elaborated with the aim of intensifying the flow of goods to and from the Port of Bar. The first phase of the plan involves investments of around 10 million euros, and the procedures for realizing individual investments will be initiated when detailed analyzes confirm the justification for the investment from all relevant aspects," he said. Port Bar returned to the market in Vojvodina.
"I am very pleased that the grain will return to the Port of Bar after several years. We have the capacity to respond to the needs of this business, our grain silos are in excellent conditions, which was concluded by the technical team of our business partners from Serbia during the visit of LB. After a few tiny interventions on the lane in the silos, we are ready to receive the first quantities of the grain," Franovic concluded.
