TOB Manager Tijana Kotarac said that the largest number of tourists are located in hotels, about 13 thousand, which is 26 percent more than last year.
"This year, most guests are from Russia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Ukraine and Turkey," said Kotarac. She questioned what problems this tourist season would have, saying that there were big traffic crowds and street dealers.
"This year, we have provided 350 new parking places in Budva, and we are trying to regulate the parking lot in unobtrusive places, where there is a collision," said Kotarac. She added that guests said that cleanliness could be at a higher level and that they are trying to control the cost of taxi services. Kotarac said that every year they are trying to make sure that tourists don't notice what isn't working properly.
"Sometimes it is difficult for the local companies to serve 20,000 citizens during the winter, and to do the same in the summertime for 100 thousand or more guests a day," Kotarac says. She said that the goal of the local government, the tourism organization, the entire economy and the citizens are to extend the duration of the tourist season and thus relieve July and August, which will surely result in greater pleasure for the guests.
