June 6, 2018 - As reported from the Capital, the draft of the local study for the "Velje brdo-solar power plant" site covers an area of about 69 hectares and is located in the cadastral municipality of Velje Brdo.
"The area covered by the local location study in PUP Podgorica is for forest areas overlapping surface-sites for solar power plants. Existing and planned purposes in the surroundings of the subject design document are forest surfaces. By analyzing the intended use of the area in the LSL subject area and the existing and planned purposes in the contact zones, it was noted that the future purpose of this area is in the function of all purposes with the surrounding zones," they added.
The intended purpose within the framework of the project's plan is the Objects of the Power Infrastructure (location for solar power plants).
"The total area occupied by this LSL includes one urban plot. According to the Rulebook, the objects of the power infrastructure include Electricity generation facilities (HE, RHE, MHE, TE), solar and wind power plants, transformer substations of all transformation levels, overhead and underground transmission lines and low voltage network," they added.
The solar power plant produces electricity from photovoltaic collectors. Photovoltaic collectors turn solar radiation into electricity.
The panels are mounted on a metal construction that provides an appropriate slope. Solar panels are set up in groups at regular intervals, east to west and south facing.
Within the framework of the plan, an internal roadway is envisaged, which also indicates possible "gates".
The public hearing lasts for 15 days, starting from June 4, 2018, until June 18, 2018.
The public hearing will be held in the premises of the Secretariat for Planning and Area Arrangement and Environmental Protection of the Capital City Podgorica, where the draft of this plan document will be presented.
"The central public hearing will be held on June 15, 2018, in the multimedia room of KIC Budo Tomovic, starting at 12 p.m. The central public hearing will see the planner ("Urbi pro" d.o.o.), representative of the Agency for construction and development Podgorica d.o.o. and staff members of the Secretariat for Planning and Area Arrangement and Environmental Protection.
