Nevertheless, among the European airlines, among the ten cheapest are Lithuanian Primera Air, Irish Ryanair and WOW from Iceland. Ryanair, with $0.10 per kilometer, is far less expensive than its big rival Easyjet, which costs $0.19 per kilometer.
So-called budget travel is considerably more expensive in the United States. Southwest's price per kilometer is $0.29, which is almost three times more costly than Ryanair.
Montenegro Airlines is among the ten most expensive companies, with a cost of $0.37 per kilometer.
