These elevators are mobile transporters for loading and unloading luggage and cargo. "There were three such elevators for both Podgorica and Tivat Airports. The new equipment will enable faster and more efficient work performance at both Montenegrin airports. By the beginning of this week, we note the increase of the passenger traffic of about 19 percent, which means that we serviced almost 70,000 passengers more during the first four months of the record year 2017. That is why we are busy preparing for the upcoming tourist season because numbers will only grow and we must be ready to respond to every challenge," said Danilo Orlandic, the Executive Director of Montenegro Airports.
According to Orlandic, the new equipment that has arrived and the what has yet to be received will help employees perform their tasks more efficiently, as well as to make every traveler feel more comfortable.
Orlandic announced that new stairs will be delivered to both Montenegrin airports before the start of the summer season and that employees will get new uniforms.
"By May 6th, 408,000 passengers were serviced at the Airports of Montenegro, and according to the announcements, there will be about two and a half million passengers at our airports until the end of the year," said Orlandic.
