May 8, 2018 - The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro will again be an exhibitor at the agricultural fair next week which will be held in Novi Sad, Serbia. The President of this association, Vlastimir Golubovic, met with Serbian Ambassador to Montenegro, Zoran Bingulac, and with the President of the Serbian-Montenegrin business club, Radivoje Rasovic. During this meeting, Golubovic said that the opportunity to confirm good relations would be available in the next week in Novi Sad when a business forum will be held in cooperation with the Chamber of Economy of Vojvodina. Vojvodina is the region in which Novi Sad is the largest city.
He also mentioned that Montenegrin businesspeople and entrepreneurs would perform at this year’s fair at a joint booth. This activity will be supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Investment Development Fund and the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro. Golubovic stated that the fair and the business forum have an aim to identify and realize additional business opportunities and to connect the businesspeople of Montenegro and Vojvodina. The realization of these goals will be possible due to the excellent cooperation of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and the Chamber of Economy of Serbia, as well as the interaction with regional and city chambers in Serbia too.
When asked about Montenegrin progress on accession to the European Union, mister Golubovic mentioned the importance of the Berlin Process and the role of the Comorian Investment Forum, which shows understanding in achieving the tasks of establishing a single economic market. By keeping this in mind, Golubovic is convinced that the tourist capacities in Montenegro, owned by the state of Serbia, will soon be adapted in the correct way and to the need of modern tourism, for the benefit of both countries. The rest of the participants agreed that the chamber of economies, just like the Serbian-Montenegrin Business Club, make an outstanding contribution to the continuous improvement of business cooperation and linking the economy. The president of this club said that the two national chambers are an example of how the valorization of the potential of the region should be conceived. He also added: “This was also demonstrated by the creation of a joint tourist offer, through a project designed and implemented by the chambers”.
