May 4, 2018 - The international conference that featured the “Luxexpertour” project, which is due to be funded by the European Union’s programme Erasmus+, was held in Rome on May 4th. The main goal of this project the is the improvement of skills and the employment rate in the tourism sector. This project is intended to be used by people who are working or are planning to work in this sector, and its task is to provide adequate services for wealthy tourists. The Luxexpertour project is about learning lingual and interpersonal skills, ICT skill and it follows a guide and the requirements of ESCO and MOOC. The main focus of this project is to promote and support small and medium businesses by marketing EURES’ “passport of skills.” This project is intended to last for two years, while funds are being estimated at 300.000 EUR.
Officials of the Montenegrin Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism were present at this conference. General director of the Directorate for competition development and investments in tourism, Olivera Brajovic, was a speaker at this international conference. As her introduction, she presented the activities of the Ministry, as well as the Ministry’s role in the Luxexpertour project. This conference also had a panel with the topic “Challenges and forming capacity in tourism for individual and territorial empowering”. This panel had a goal to promote the importance of local tourism as well as the experience of luxury in this sector.
Brajovic continued by making a point and promoting the tourist product of Montenegro, regarding a new offer which is currently developing, but due to its quality, it is estimated to be a part of a “luxury experience.”
During the Luxexpertour project, many different trainings, practices, courses, and skills learnings are realized, all in favor of creating a big picture of what skills are needed and what multisector innovative products are demanded. The first pilot project of this training is planned to be held as part of the international summer school. This test project will take 150 hours and is a “tool” for making an “agent of luxury experience."
Around 150 participants attended this conference, as well as officials of many different companies, project’s supporters, government bodies, and professors and students mainly from Rome.
