Ahead of the summer season, preparations are underway for greater comfort for passengers, but also for employees of Podgorica and Tivat airports to do their jobs more efficiently, said executive director of Montenegro Airports Danilo Orlandić.
According to his words, in the next several days both airports will receive new elevators, escalators and well as counter-diversion equipment. He noted workers ate Montenegro airports will be wearing standardized clothing from this season.
“Considering the increased traffic during the summer months, Montenegro Airports published a tender for seasonal employees. After the tender is complete, in accordance with international standards and regulations, chosen candidates will undertake necessary training in order to be licensed for airport tasks,” stated Orandić.
He reminded that in the past 10 years, just for taxes and contributions of employees, Montenegro Airports transferred around 70 million euro to the state budget and that all commitments are settled regularly.
“The successful operation of Montenegro Airports thus reflects positively not only o Montenegro tourism, but also budget income in all categories,” concluded Orlandić.
