09 September 2018 - Numerous businessmen from the textile and olive oil industry from Turkey showed interest in investing in Montenegro during the 87th Izmir International Fair and the Izmir Business Days, according to Montenegrin Transport Minister, Osman Nurković.
Within the official report from the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs, it was announced that many Turkish businessmen from other branches also expressed their desire to visit Montenegro and to consider the possibilities for business cooperation.
The delegation of Montenegro led by the Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Osman Nurković took part in the 87th Izmir International Fair and the Izmir Business Days, which was organised from 5 to 7 September 2018 in Izmir, Turkey. On this occasion, the Montenegrin delegation met with the President of Izmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mahmut Özgener and Aegean Region Chamber of Industry President Ender Yorgancilar.
The Izmir International Fair is the oldest tradeshow in Turkey, considered the cradle of Turkey's fairs and expositions industry. The fair is held in the compound of Izmir's vast inner-city park named Kültürpark in the first days of September and organized by İZFAŞ, a depending company of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. The 87th İzmir International Fair took place between 5-7 September 2018.
The opening of the 87th Izmir International Fair and the Izmir Business Days were attended by delegations from 27 countries. Apart from the Montenegrin delegation, delegations led by ministers from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Albania attended the region.
