August 30, 2018 - The Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro provided the following data: citizens of Montenegro bought clothes and sport products mostly online, (77,7%), made reservations for hotel accommodation (22%), ordered movies and music (10,9%), bought pharmaceutical products (7,5 %), video games, other computer software and its additions (5,3%).
According to the data provided by the Statistical Office of Montenegro (MONSTAT), the percentage of companies in Montenegro which offer their catalogs with prices on web pages amounts 69,5%, whereas 43,1% offers the possibility of online shopping. Around 26,9 % of companies received the orders via the Internet and around 26,7% of companies placed their orders via Internet.
Type of goods and services that citizens of Montenegro mostly ordered or bought via the Internet include clothes, sports products, accommodation in hotels, movies, music, video games and other computer software.
Citizens mostly order the goods from abroad: from the world traders (63,8%), from the EU traders (40,6%), from domestic traders (29,1%) and from the unknown origin countries (3,6%).
On the other side, the consumers are offered the possibility of “armchair shopping”, that is, from anywhere at any time, with the use of mobile phone or computer. They can also easily check the quality of goods and services by reading comments on forums and social networks.
There are no disadvantages of e-commerce. They can all be prevented by education and proper means of information.
E-business will definitely keep improving and we will see in what direction it will go and in what way it is going to develop. We need to adapt and use all the benefits this concept offers.

Although Amazon is the leading company in the world of e-commerce, the Alibaba.com Corporation is currently at the top of the global e-business statistics with the record of 14,3 billion EUR in the total volume of sale in only one day.
According to the estimates, by 2020, the number of users who will buy online will be 270 million, mostly via mobile phones.
